In Other Words – Client Testimonial

“Gearing up for my numerology reading, I thought Susan would give me one number and talk about a few things I already thought I knew about my Life Path. She would tell me I’m like the Empress, the third tarot card, that I’m meant to create life and nurture a big family and big art. This was only partly true. Susan surprised me with many different numbers: 3s, and 5s, and 9s, oh my! But the biggest surprise was her positive (in the sense of both ‘determined’ and ‘sunny’) advice that I don’t have to grow up.

The personality she described reminded me of the way I am around my best friends. Sadly, I realized, the person I am when I’m around my “soul family” bears almost no resemblance to the person I am on a daily basis. I’m relatively young, and I thank fate that I haven’t invested many years in living so unaligned from my soul’s purpose. How did I get so off track? The long answer is—well—long, but the short answer is that I set my compass to an external direction, not my true north.

Susan discussed writing, travel, freedom, playfulness, compassion, children, animals. She reminded me of all the Bohemian truths (true norths, for me) that had made theater and music my passions in school. The theme of constant movement shows up in a long-forgotten journal entry I wrote during a stressful period in college, in which I envision my happiest self as a particle bouncing wildly about, almost drunkenly, moving through space, encountering no obstacles.

The morning after my reading I stepped into the backyard and spied a hummingbird high in a tree. It was such a small piece of sky to happen to look at. It was the joyous, unimpeded particle of my dreams. There was nothing to slow her down. She was hot in pursuit of nectar I’m sure, and very happy about it, but I didn’t see her too long before she was gone—a small, moving window into a possible future me, who has isolated and owned my strange turn, and committed (with the special passion of one who has strayed) to my true north.”

Career Choices

For those of you who don’t know me, my love for children and young adults goes very deep. I am an advocate for all children, especially the kids that are walking a hard road. We ask a lot from our young adults to decide what profession they are going to choose at a very young age. Some know early on – my older brother did and has been very happy with his choice. Myself on the other hand, I was very happy doing multiple things, at multiple times, holding on to multiple ideas. Get the picture – two very different energies!

I did a reading for a college student a couple years back. He was very confused in the direction to take. When looking at his chart I saw that he had multiple 5’s in his core energy – the energy that makes you who you are. Immediately I knew that he needed a job or career that gave him freedom. You don’t hold a 5 down. “Don’t fence me in” is their motto. I knew that learning came easy to him as 5 is intelligent and has a great memory and is very good with words. He just needed experience in the world. Sitting at school was uncomfortable for him and he felt fenced in. 5’s have very heightened physical senses and if other energies in the chart align right, it could bring in problems with overindulgence. We are talking alcohol, drugs, food, sex. When I mentioned this to him I could sense that something was already in play. I warned him that he was definitely predisposed to behavior that could cause some real problems in the future if he didn’t acknowledge this part of who is was. I could tell he understood what I meant.

After talking a little about the energy that makes him who he is we decided that a career that brought in frequent changes would suit him best. Writer (this could take him anywhere, anytime), lawyer, photojournalist, pilot, archeologist, taxi driver, motivational speaker to name a few.

He is doing well now and at this time is traveling and working odd jobs. He’s happy. This reading took us approximately 30 minutes and all I did was reiterated what he already knew deep down. In my mom voice, I let him know that constructed freedom will bring him more freedom than he knows, and that he should enjoy his life but not to a point that’s self-destructive. My reward – about a year later he wrote me to let me know he was doing much better.

Through the Eyes of a Numerologist

Sue Coffin NumerologyWelcome to Healing Numbers blog. When I researched Numerology blogs I saw that most were describing and explaining the characteristics of numbers. I will agree that is the most important part of numerology, but I want to take you deeper and let you see what I look at when I am reading a Numerology report.

Through the eyes of a Numerologist I will give examples. I will answer questions I receive. I will try to give you a better understanding of how powerful a numerology reading can be to help you understand why I do certain readings and how they can help. What I really look at and why.

We all agree that our soul has come to grow. More than likely you wouldn’t be reading this blog if you didn’t have that concept. Some souls choose to go easy and grow at a slow pace. Some choose to work very hard and grow at leaps and bounds, which isn’t always easy. My job as a Numerologist is to help each individual who contacts me to understand the energy that makes up who they are. My job is to explain to you the energy that brings in opportunities and events to help you use this in the most useful and comfortable way to help you in your journey. It is my responsibility to help you understand when to push, to be patience, to be playful, to work hard, to go on a sabbatical, to get your financial house in order, to keep your eyes open for love.

The validation of a numerology reading still amazes me to this day and I am excited to share with you… through the eyes of a Numerologist.
